OCW question before purchase...

Does OCW offer a true comparison to paste carnubas? I have a bottle and a half of aquawax and told myself that I was going to try OCW (and AJT) once I'm out of AW. For the time being I was going to purchase some Natty's Blue to top my Poli-Seal and then top that with AW.

If OCW can offer similiar results as Natty's then I'll skip that whole step.

Thanks!

I really like th OCW but I think it has a different look than the Natty's. THe Natty's looks a lot deeper and wetter to me.

I have been using OCW on top of the Poli-Seal quite a bit lately.

Whats the durability of OCW on Poli-Seal? I'm about to prep my wrx for the winter (which will include frequent trips into the mountains for snowboarding) She sleeps in a carport at night but is in a parking lot at work.

I really haven't gotten to experience how good the durability is with the Poli-Seal since it is so new. David from OPtimum told me it should last 4 months or longer. So topping it with OCW should extend the lift a little more. I put Poli-Seal by itself on one of my personal vehicles and the durability is great after a couple of months. Still beads awesome too!

How often can you apply OCW? I live in seattle where it rains every day. My usuall MO is to wipe the car down, every other day, with with a wet Microfiber, and then dry it with a liquid wax enhancer. I started with eagle one wax as you dry, and "upgraded" to griot's liquid wax. (as a side note, I actuall think the eagle one product is better, but I need to do more comparisons).

The thing is, neither of those are true wax replacements. What's great about them is that I don't have to worry about getting the car completely dry- it dries off with a great shine and no streaking.

Can I use OCW in the same way? Will it build up if I use it too often?

I apply the OCW after every wash. You can put it on when the car is still wet but I don't. The more you layer it the better it looks in my opinion. I have never had it streak. You don't have to worry about it building up. I know people that use it a couple times a week.

Im in the seattle area too.

Hmmm paste or spray..that is the question.

Juz..have you seen my car color? Maybe you can make a suggestion based on that.

The more I talk about it, the more I think I'll just order a gallon of OCW...I also want to try the OCW/CJ 50/50 mix....might as well skip the $15 nattys....

So you are going with the Poli-Seal first right? I would do the Poli-Seal and top with the Natty's original. Then use the Spray Wax as a booster here and there.

Yes I would go with the origninal Natty's. The blue seems to dull the metallic. I have had great results with the Natty's on your colored vehicle. The Poli-Seal and Natty's combo looks great. I think you will be totally happy with that.

Well, change of plans. Bought some AJT off of an autopian member so I'm going to try and top the Poli-Seal with that....I'll use Aquawax as a booster after ONR washes. After researching all the products I'm pretty confident this combo will get me through the winter just fine :) I'll just wait for the spring to introduce a carnuba.
