OCW or M21?

I am trying to decide what to get to use mainly on customer cars and vans. Winter prep is getting under way and I have several vans and small SUV's to do. I have a spray bottle of the OCW and like it alot. I have used it on 5 different cars but it seems more like a topper than a good base. If you had to choose between the two what would you choose and why?

Don't underestimate OCW's durability, it is a legitimate sealant.

I haven't used #21 but I've heard from others the durability and appearance are excellent. #21 would probably be more economical, all other things being equal.

OCW is $30/gallon. That's about $0.24 per ounce. Assuming you use about 2 ounces per layer, it would only cost 50 cents or $1 to wax a car. That sounds pretty cheap to me, considering the ease of use and results.

I can wax a whole car with a LOT less than an ounce of OCW. Even if you could wax a car with an ounce of either product the Optimum is $30 for 128 ounces and the #21 is $40 for 64 ounces. No match.

I like both products but dollar wise they don't compare.

You could probably wax 4-5 cars with an ounce of #21 (based on my useage rate of NXT and #20). A gallon of #26 would regularly last me 12-18 months when I was using it exclusively.

OCW would be much quicker and I get about 2 or so vehicles per ounce of product. I have gotten about 3 months on a rather abused finished kept outside 24-7 in heavy pollen season. I would not underestimate this stuff either.

Lot of factors to consider. Cost per use vs ease of use, etc. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. :nixweiss

Thanks guys, I am going to order a gallon of the OCW from Patrick. He said he can get it. I will probably get some 21 as well. It just seems something as easy as OCW cann't be as good as #21 or like an EX-P.

Perceptions aren't always what they seem. I had my doubts too, but after 7 months regularly using OCW, I have the confidence in it necessary to use it as a stand alone LSP.

I've never applied a wax by spray and have never used ocw. How do you apply?, do you spray directly to car then PC?

Spray it on the paint, wipe with a microfiber towel, flip the towel for a final wipe then move on. If you can QD a car, you can wax one with OCW. Yes, it really is that easy.

Do most of you all apply 2 coats of OCW to get good coverage?

I don't go with more than one coat unless it is requested. Even with my own car, I apply one coat at a time.

aaron33-It depends on many factors, enviromental conditions, temperatures, exposure, washing techniques, etc. Probably 4-5 times a year would keep most cars protected adequately.
