Ocw + Fk Fx100?

While rooting around in my old detail supplies, I came across an almost-full bottle of FX100. Haven't used it in a long time. Don't know why, as its great stuff. My understanding is that it is no longer available. Just my luck, 'cause I have now re-fallen in love with it. Don't believe I've ever used anything slicker. Anyway, since I can't get any more, I was trying to figure ways to make it last longer. It occurred to me that it is a product very similar to OCW. A water-based poly/wax blend, at least I think FX100 is water-based. Got about a half gallon of OCW left, maybe a little more. Like most, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the reformulated OCW, which is supposed to be wetter and slicker. Hmmm, wet, slick...just like the qualities of FX100! Anyone ever mix the two? Might they play well together?? Bence???

Ermmm, mixing the two...? Dunno... Both contain sealants and waxes, so technically it may work. I've never tried mixing them. But yes, the FX-100 is one of the slickest products ever.

The new OCW will be a stellar thing IMO, but I must admit, I'm a BIG fan of the FX.

Yes but if you add it to your shopping cart it says out of stock. Its been like this for months. I wanted to get some a few months ago with a couple of other things but I'm still waiting.

Have you tried calling or e-mailing them?

No I didn't. I ended up just getting the other stuff and decided I would just wait until I have to place another order, no big deal. Then I saw this thread so I checked their website again and it's still the same way so who knows :nixweiss .

OK, I tried it! Mixed 75% OCW with 25% FX100. Mixed well together. Appliied with my WOWA method. As I kind of expected, it appears to combine the best of the respective qualities of the products. Much slicker and wetter than OCW alone, but not as slick as FX100 by itself. I assume that the durability will be closer to OCW than FX100, which I don't recall being all that durable. Anyway, the stuff is now on my car. Will let it ride for a few weeks or when I can no longer stand to not put anything on my car, whichever comes first! Thanks for the PakShak tip!
