To beat the dead horse a little more, I'm posting some pics of my Lightning after using NXT wash and spray wax. There was no prep, just the washing but the surface was in excellent condition with only 3000 miles. I noticed it filled in most of the very minor spiderwebbing that was on the paint. The truck had been sitting in storage all winter, but the carnuba put on in the fall was gone, no beading at all. So for a quick touchup/protection I decided to try to the spray wax (until it I can do the "real deal"). Wow, does the water bead now (just like a full NXT application) and the shine has been noticibly deepened and is wetter and more reflective.
