NXT Wash,#83,#9,NXT Wax,#16 - How To Maintain ?

I've just done the following using a Porter Cable -

NXT Wash

Megs #83 DACP

Megs#9 Swirl Remover

Megs NXT Wax



Now tomorrow(Yes Xmas Day) Ha ha I plan plan to top with #16 Wax, I've read lots about how great NXT topped with #16 is especially on a black car.



My car looks great right now, Could someone just put my mind at rest that #16 will make it look even better !! I'm scared of losing what I've got so far!



After I've topped with #16, what s the best way to maintain?, I was thinking NXT Wash weekly and NXT Wax & #16 monthly maybe. See how that goes ?? Any Thoughts ??
 
I really like the depth that 16 gives to my car, esp after NXT. You don't really want to put NXT over 16. So I'd maybe do the wash weekly, if needed, and then assess it. Those two should give you really good durability. I'd guess you won't need to touch it up for at least a month, unless it's taking one heck of a beating.

Everyone has a different idea of what looks better. I think NXT looks bolder, but I prefer the more rounded look of #16. You may not. If you like how it looks, what's the impetus for topping with #16? Why not just leave the NXT on there and see how it grows on you?



Your maintenance regime sounds fine to me. NXT over #16 will probably not be a big deal. I doubt you'll need to rewax every month with #16, but it'll help keep that just-waxed look. Plus, you don't want to wait until you *need* more wax anyway. :)



You can also try some QD's to keep that just-waxed look and add some gloss after a wash. Maybe that's something you want to consider if you will find waxing every month too much of a burden.
 
I prefer the look of NXT alone on black and every two weeks I apply the NXT Booster to maintain the freshly waxed, wet look.
 
I've just done the #16 :bounce and wow !! I'm well impressed, Its made the shine even deeper!

I can't beleive how easy it was to apply and how little you need to use, But definatly made a difference and hopefully made it lot more durable.

My only problem now is I can't bring myself to get my car out of the garage to use it !! ha ha

I'd get some pics butthe weathers not very good outside and the light conditions in my garage wouldn't do it justice.
