NXT at Target

I stopped in at a local Target on the way home from work today with the intent of checking out their detailing supplies, & hopefully pick up a lamb's wool wash mitt.

They didn't have a whole lot of selection, but there on the shelf - just down from the green containers of paste Turtle Wax - were all 3 of the NXT products.

I was sort of surprised - don't know if I should have been or not :nixweiss

Anyway, I bought a bottle of Tech Wax & Spray Wax. I thought briefly about the vinyl treatment, but left it there. The label says it puts a shine on, & I'm definetly a fan of dashboards with a dull sheen.

Not that I needed the wax - I just bought a bottle of EX - but since it was right there, I figured why not...

My wife is gonna kill me :nono - the tax return is dwindling, the cars are still filthy, there's 6" of snow predicted by tomorrow afternoon :shocked & all I have to show for it is a bunch of foam & bottles of liquids (& now, another wash mitt!)

I guess most of you guys must be single :o

Tom, I'm to the west near Pittsburgh. (The Target I spoke of is on Route 30 near Greensburg, for anyone in the area.) The snow is to start about 4:00AM (in about 5 1/2 hours from now), but get worse about 10 hours after that.

Actually, I'm lucky - my wife is pretty good about that kind of stuff. Neither of us gets very carried away - well, not too often, anyway! She enjoys spending a few $$ on chrome for her Vstar, so it goes both ways!

 I have enough of the wax (a little goes a long way) but am almost out of the wash and I really like it. I have one customer who wants me to use his pressure spray and water deionizer, so I have to buy car wash soap just for him....but he pays me more per vehicle and tips regularly, so all is good. :D

I'll have to stop by Target and see if they have it. I've yet to see any NXT products at Autozone or Pepboys.

Just saw NXT's full line in a local Autozone. Picked up the tech wax and spray wax. I also saw it in Target AND Walmart. I guess Vegas is just spoiled. :)

Scott, I didn't see the wash there. They had the vinyl protectant, spray wax & tech wax. I did buy a jug of the Gold Class Car Wash shampoo while I was there. The only car wash soap I have is an old, 1/2 full bottle of their Soft Wash gel so I grabbed the shampoo too.

Have you used the spray wax for QD duty? Just curious what the opinions of it might be.

Hey Tom - what area are you from? I'm out to the east, just beyond Monroeville in the Murrysville area. I work in Latrobe.

I'm over in eastern PA now, on the edge of the Poconos, between Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton. I grew up in Pleasant Hills, in the south hills of Pgh.

Kevinch-I've only used the wax and car wash soap. I thought everything would be on store shelves by now, but that hasn't been the case in the Dallas area. Probably grab a bottle when I see it and try it out.

Kevinch,

The Spray Wax is definitely not a quick detailer as most of us would define it. You have to let it dry to a haze, then buff off. It is a good product for a nice shine after a wash (more so than FD). Doesn't take me quite as long as a full blown waxing (quicker application, hazes quicker, and extremely easy buffing), and the shine/slickness is definitely good. It won't replace my normal waxings for protection (durability isn't really known), but it is something I'll keep on hand for a "quickie" or weekly "boost". It makes getting a good shine so easy (on a properly prepped surface).

Scottwax,

Here in NW Louisiana it is a hit or miss with the NXT line. Our Walmarts generally only have the wash. But Advance Auto has the whole line. All the products work well for me. I do really like the Spray Wax as a booster and the Vinyl Protectant's satin look (after buffing off with a MF). I don't know about durability yet, but with as often as I do my car, that shouldn't be a problem.
