Number 26 sent back to Meguiars?

:( I asked my mom for some #26 for xmas since it was on sale at Advanced Auto but she was told that it was taken off the shelves and sent back. :nixweiss Apparently the few people working that didn't know were mad because they said it was the best thing they had on the shelf. :o

I doubt it was sent back to Meguiars. Advance Auto is a pretty big chain. It was probably sent back to one of their distribution centers. Maybe they are shifting the stock to warmer climates where they think it will have a better chance of being sold during the winter months.

It imparts a yellow tint to paint which can be a problem on some waxes. Not easy to buff off if it hazes up too long. Much better products on the market.

My experience is that the yellow color of the product is part of what gets buffed off as residue. My biggest complaint is similar to yours, in that it's very hard to get a thin coat using the paste version, and if it's anything more than a thin coat it is VERY hard to remove.

As far as appearance, though, it really fits me better than almost any product on the market. For me, it's right up there with the best.

But, that's why there's both steak and lobster.

I've never seen any proof of this?

Does this hold true for any products that are colored?

#26 only needs to dry for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove it with a soft cotton towel, or microfiber polishing cloth and it should wipe off very easy.

maybe some people notice this yellow tint and others don't?

i mention this because i was helping a friend wax his car, and gave him a choice to LSPs to use: Megs #16, #26, NXT, and Wizards sealant. he didn't want the waxes since they left a yellow tint which i couldn't see. :nixweiss

Thank you for the nice gesture but I really do have too many waxes at the moment :) haha

Well Mike, I realize this ia a strong statement but the tint was very noticeable on my 1997 Lexus ES300 with Oyster Pearl paint. Oyster paint was a cool paint Lexus had a few years with a mix of silver and gold metallic. I found #26 to bring out the gold more than I liked but it was not a bad combination, just not as clear as P21S which I tried on it before I sold it.

Maybe my experience was due to the Oyster paint but it definitely tinted the color. Still I liked it enough to use the product for nearly 6 years.
