Novice Buffer

I have integrated a buffer(Dewalt) into my detail services and have followed the 3M Perfect it system.

1.I find myself unable to control the mess and I even began to tape the vehicles to prevent burns and control splatter. I spent 6 hours on a car taking it from some sanding of a few scratches, compounding, swirl remover, polish and p21s wax. Can anyone give me organizational and system tips that could speed me up, and advice on charging.

2.This guy paid $350 including $50 tip. For 6 hours(and an hour on the interior) I felt perhaps $500 would have been a better price, but of course try getting someone to pay that right.

$58.00 an hour is not enough for you??? The way the economy is going, you might be looking back on that detail with fondness....

I will not even comment that you are learning how to use a rotary and expect the customer to finance your education.
