Noob needs your advice

New member
Looking to make purchase soon, so I came up with a list of products and a process. I have 2004 Dodge SRT-4 Electric Blue with a lot of swirl marks. The winter has been very harsh to the car as it has to sit out outside all the time. I don’t have a garage so the process will have to be done outside, will I have an issues with any of these products if done in the sun?



5� backing plate

Lake County CCS 5.25� or 6� pads

Counter weight?? (Not sure if needed)



Process:



Wash

Clay

PB SSR 2 – Orange (light cutting)

PB SSR 1 – White (polishing)

Klasse – AIO Black (Finessing)

Natty’s Blue Wax – Blue (finishing)



Do the pads go with the right products?

Am i using the right products for a dark blue color?

Should i add or remove products?



Any feed back is appreciated.

Overall, pretty sound. You can defintiely get the job done with what you have!



The SSR line has kind of fallen out of the spotlight since the Optimums came around since they dust alot less and are still sun-friendly



You don't need the counterweight. Those products should work out pretty well



With the SSR2 You can use either the white or the orange pad. I'd probably start off with the white pad and see if it's removing the swirls (as a bonus it also may finish down to where you can go straight to the AIO). If a couple of passes with the SSR2/White combo isn't working..you can hit any tough spots with SSR2/Orange..and then use either SSR2/White or SSR1/White to remove those scratches
 
Optimum Polish has pretty decent corrective ability for as nice as it finishes out fromt he pics I've seen..I'd consider picking up Optimum Compound along with the Polish. That'd probably give you a greater range of corrective ability as well (Plus they're nice big 32 oz bottles) and only a few dollars more.



There should be quite a bit info on it. I don't have any personal experience with Optimum..just hear lots of good things about it
