Noob looking for feedback

I have been spending the past few days doing my first detailing on my 2000 Silverado with 103 k miles. I have been using my new PC 7336 (5" weight), mcguires clay kit, sonus ZFX 6" pads with SFX-1, SFX-2, Klasse AIO, and topping it with 2x P21s. Has anyone tried to detail a gray car on an overcast grey day? It's not fun! I wish there was more light for the photo, but need some validation that i'm on the right track!

P.S. my wife thinks i have finally lost it, because I'm always out in the driveway detailing the truck!

Looks about right, it's hard to tell from an overcast shot, but your reflections are crisp and that's always a good sign. Is that gray more of a green in the sun and black in the shade by any chance?

Its a silver/charcoal paint. I've had the truck for 2 years and have put 12k miles on it. I need to figure out how to make good pictures in good light. I just wanted to post something today. I would say 95% of the swirls are gone, but there werent many to begin with. I am enjoying the sonus brands, but am looking as everyone else on here for the most "pop". For me, i'm not looking for longevity, but the best shine.

Try to get the sun to reflect on it - getting the flake to pop makes a huge difference in how the pictures come out. Here's a similar truck I got my hands on:

I use almost the exact same products that you have. Except I use the SG instead of the P21S. I purchased a titanium silver vehicle back in December. I am really looking forward to polishing and waxing. My previous vehicles were dark colors, so it was easy to identify swirls. My suggestion would be to throw some artificial light on your truck and inspect from various angles. I found that halogens work pretty well, but I think I read on here somewhere that fluorescent is the best. I have noticed it is difficult to notice swirls on the silver. My new car is an '02 so I hope that the swirls are minimal. Your pics look great!
