today i tried using my pc with some pb ssr2 on edges yellow pad and the pad wouldnt turn unless i picked it off of the cars surface it will oscillate but it wouldnt spin. is this normal? what can i do to help it out? and no i wasnt putting any weight on it iwas actually trying to hold it up barely off of the paint.

That what it is supposed to do.
It doesn't spin it oscillates it's an orbital, so there is nothing for you to do to help it.

So how did the car come out?

actually i stopped because it started to sprinkle. i know it oscillates but the last time i used it it seemed like it was spinning more than just vibrating

It won't spin if you apply too much pressure, the pad isn't flat, your speed isn't high enough, pad is too wet...

try to watch a point on the pad....usualy it will spin very slowly, ive even seen it start to spin backwards if im moving it around...the vibrations and oscillation will remove the defects

I would say take a silver sharpie and make a dot or circle to see if it spins or not. With the Edge pads you can't do that but maybe put a piece of tape on it and watch that?

Yeah, there are a lot of variables, but don't worry too much if it isn't spinning a lot.

that's how i found out that it wasnt spinning because it had some blue polish on the back part and i saw that it wasn't turning. so if it doesnt spin will it still work out?

If it's not spinning, you may have a few imperfections in your technique, but it still should work fine.

cool...one thing i did found out, is that i seen the autogeek site and saw that they prime the pad, is that necessary? and if so how can i do that.

It depends from product to product. With the SSRs I just put a circle or two around the pad and spread it all around so the whole pad has polish on it. This is done with the machine off. Other products you can mist QD or water to prime it... but not PBs, they don't react well with water.
