Nitro Seal over UNO

I don't have it just asking questions so when I do it will go smoothly; although most likely I will use SIP first it needs more of a cleaning then IPA onto UNO

thanx David

No need for a wipedown when using this combo. Of POXY for that matter.

What when using UNO v1? The residue of that can, reportedly, be like glue. Can you POXY right over the v1 residue?

If one over polished the product the residue was hard to get off but all you needed to do was reduce the speed and go over the area again.

Tunch said to do an IPA before applying.

Uno does not contain Mineral Oils like some polishes so Uno does not leave the same type of residue. IPA wipedown can be used to completely clean and check work, but Uno doesnt really mask so its overkill.

Nitro Seal or Poxy can be used on top of Uno since they have the same carriers and are compatible.

Ben beat me to it. I Spoke to Tunch about this in semi-detail earlier today. The final prep of the surface for NS is totally user defined, but when using UNO there really isn't a need for an alcohol wipedown. It certainly will not hurt, but there may be no benefit from the effort. As Ben said, UNO, POXY & Nitro Seal use the same proprietary carrier fluids so they ultimately mesh together. The beauty of all 3 products is this same carrier fluid because unlike any other protection product, it really allows each to be spread over the surface a long way (a little really goes a long way). Knowing this and depending on how dusty the surface might be, I still may entertain the thought of just doing a quick post-polish powerwash (w/o soap even) to pacify my OCD.

Now when using another polishing line prior to POXY or NS, I would strongly suggest stripping the surface as bare as possible to insure complete 24hr crosslinking of the product.

Well said. ;)

That's nice to know David and Ben. Kind of feels like OPT and how all of their products are harmonious with each other (IE if you use a polish before putting on Opti Coat they suggest you do a IPA/some sort of wipe down so OC can bond easier. Don't have to do if you use OPT CompoundII/PolishII/Finish).
