Ok, I just got my PC and have been practicing/using it for the last couple weeks, and I need some advice.
One of my cars (still) has moderate swirls. Not a LOT of them, but the ones that are there are medium depth but still clearly removable.
I have (and have used) Pinnacle SMR and Advanced SMR, and also 3M Perfect-IT II Fine Cut Rubbign compound. Used the most aggresive with an orange pad (don't have a yellow). It helped, but I still can't get the last remaining marring and minor scratches out.
Should I try Meguiars medium cut cleaner or SSR 2.5? The comparison charts I've seen say SSR 2.5 is about the same aggressiveness as the Perfect-It II, while the medium cut cleaner is a bit more.
Ideas and thoughts? I can get the Meguiars locally at a auto paint and finish supply house. Might also pick up some of their "professional" products to try (they had some polishes that looked interesting, designed for rotary or DA, and one other that caught my attention was a water-based plastic/vinyl/rubber protectant that was $17 for a gallon).
Blue Skies,
Andrew
