:huh OK here goes: I worked on my wife's Taurus today and am happy with the way it looks but not with the way it feels if that makes any sense; there seems to be a bit of a texture on the paint after I have done the following.

washed and dryed well

The following was done with a PC
coat of Meguires # 2 Fine Cut cleaner (meguires cut pad)
coat of Meguires # 9 Swirl Remover ( " " ")
2 coats of NXT ( 3M finishing pad)

I went and bought a clay bar this evening; not sure if that is where I should have started or if there is something I am doing wrong with my PC that is making that happen. Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone used the stuff mentioned above with a PC and what setting do you recommend?? :huh

Thanks,
Eric

Eric, what color was the pad you used ? If it was red, thats a pretty course pad you used!
Clay will make a huge difference in the way the paint feels.

Take a plastic sandwich bag and put it over your hand plam side dwon gentle rub the hood area. If you feel bumps and so forth then you should clay the car.
It will lift all the wax that you have put on but then since you have removed the swrils I would just reply the wax again and you should be good to go.
