Hi fellows, I'm new to this forum, and am very glad to have joined, because you guys seem to have alot of good tips.

My question is: We (my wife and I) have a black BMW, and a Millenium yellow C5 Corvette. I have been using Zaino, on the Vette since we bought it, the Bimmer gets Meguiars. Recently, I've heard that Pinnacle products work well too. What is the best product, that I can use on both cars, to get a mile deep shine. How long the shine stays on there isn't really a concern, as I usually wax one-two times per month, and wash the cars once-twice a week. Thanks for your advice in advance.

There is not a specific product persay, but in the surface prep. If you want to go the wax route I would say Klasse AIO then a few layers of SG and top with your choice of carnuba.

LuvmyC5 - Welcome to Autopia. I used to have a C5 (Mallett 396/6M/3.73). Someone's gonna say "do a search/look at the acronym list", but SG= Klasse Sealant Glaze.

Not sure that would be the best combo for the look you want, but you probably CAN get better depth than you're getting with the Z. Maybe look into Blackfire or Platinum, with a Souveran or P21S topper if you think it needs it.

Thanks for the welcome, and the advice. I'll have to check out that area. Mallett's are really nice cars. Do you miss your C5, and what did you get to replace it, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, Mallett does a nice job and he and his family are GREAT people. Nah, I don't miss my C5, but if we had time for track events, well, that would be VERY different (that was a big reason why I bought it). I traded it towards an Audi S8. On the street, I actually cover ground FASTER in the Audi, in part because it's not so conspicuous (and, LOL, I'm saying this to someone with a YELLOW C5!). If you have nothing better to do :p there's a thread on the Car Ownership forum titled something like "why I sold my C5" where I went into this in detail. There were a lot of reasons, but, especially now that Audi's changing the A8's in ways I DON'T like, it was the right decision for me. I'm a sucker for big, square, fast sedans anyhow.
