Hi all....

I have been reading these boards for awhile for both entertainment as well as education. I had learned about detailing cars as a summer job while in college(10 years ago). I worked for a detail shop (total recon , in Kingston, NH) that did both retail (high-line and customer cars) as well as wholesale (detailing for local used car dealers). I have to say though it was a part time summer job, I had learned alot as well had an opportunity to work on some unique cars, Mercedes, porsche, and vettes.

Now I am just a hobbyist, basically cleaning my own vehicle as well as family. I find detailing to be relaxing and a change pace. I get to work outside and the fruits of labor are always immediate and gratifying.

Though I still feel I have a ton to learn especially when it comes to the exterior and getting that glassy smooth surface. I would say my efforts are modest more than just slapping some wax on and calling it day. (One can only prep and wax his vehicle so much)

Who knows, maybe I meet a few locals and get back in the game??

At any rate, thanks to all on here for their insight and knowledge (as well as divulging their best practices and of course their mistakes).

Now that I am registered..... I hope to engage in more threads.

Regards,
