Howdy peeps... Well, I'm glad i decided to register here so that i could learn even more from other members!

Nothing spectacular about me:

Car info: Got into cars through a honda civic 92 hatch that is my DD and that I have modified to make it more spirited to drive... only car i own... for now i hope...

Detailing experience: Well i do everything by hand. Most items I use are autozone/OTC items including mitts, MF towels etc...

I realize that I am a Meguire person. why? they seem to know what they do. I really have little to no experience with other brands! Open to suggestions/feedback

Meguiar products that I own:

- Deep Crystal 1,2,3 step system. Although I have never really used all 3 at once except after i bought it the first time, lol. By hand, i did not see the results i wanted/expected and just gave up using them for now.

- Ultimate Compound

- Quik Wax (liquid and spray)

Meguiar's products I use regularly:

- NXT generation wax (bought their liquid version but prefer the paste)

- Deep Crystal car wash soap.

- Meguiar's clay bars that come in the "detailing kit". (smooth surface clay kit)

- Quick Interior Detailer

Got more misc Meguire items or 3M compounds that i sometimes use... Sorry for the lack of Acronym's here, i am still getting familiar with what is what)

Detailing items used (no idea about

names, so I will describe them):

- MF chenille mitt

- bug scrapper sponge - i use it for lower areas of car/bumper.

- several different kinds of MF usually walmart/target/autozone etc...

- Absorber (brand) sponge (need to get a new one, mine is falling apart)

I will go buy today, Grout sponge, distilled water and i'll check out those "vroom" products someone mentioned from Target...

Also... all that was in Florida.... and now I'm in Mass where there is Winter, snow and SALT!

So this year is very NEW to me... Long are gone the times where i could detail my car at my leisure... Now they want at least $10 for a basic wash!? I don't trust others with my car anyways... so that's not an option. Plus I barely make enough to survive and so spending cash is not really in my vocabulary!

I also don't "own" a garage, so my car is more often than not, in the outside, under pine trees (I know I know, bad idea cause of sap, but i've been doing this for the past 5 months and the only issue was bird crap! no sap so far!)

Here are "professional" pics to give u an idea of my POS car and taken after i "detailed" the car all morning by hand ;)

Also don't let the pics fool you, this car's paint is mostly original and includes tons and tons of "marring", water spots, scratches, swirls and fading... :) it is what it is and i can't afford a 400 detailing job on it to try and correct these flaws! :)

I have read, will continue to read, and will also ask questions! :)

thanks for all the info i have learned so far! :)

Glad to be around!
