So I'm still new to DC:dcrules . I have a question for all. I have been reading threads on detailing and I like detailing cars. How would I go about finding work as a detailer (not a "car washer":bigups )? I have considered opening my own business, and that is still a possibility. But I would like to work as a detailer under someone to get my "feet wet." Any suggestions on where to find work as a detailer? Thank You.
 
Hi Delano, Welcome :howdy

You could look into seeing if any dealerships or local detailing shops (even the ones attached to a car wash) have any openings. It may be tough, or not the best pay but atleast you would be able to gain experience.

Take some time and read the threads in the professional section if you are interested in starting your own.

Welcome to DC! It might help if you list your location. There might be someone in your area that could show you the ropes or at least know of a specific place you could go to learn. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Go to your control panel and click on "Edit Profile".
Enter your location, (Bay Area if that's what you want to use), in the Additional Information window.
It will show up under your name when you post.

Welcome from Sonoma County...there are a lot of detail shops in the bay....start by applying one will pick you up...also car dealerships can be a good training ground....this is a good time to keep an eye on the want ad's and Craiglist the weather is turning and the detail shops will start looking for help
