Hello all. I just joined and have been reading alot over the last few days. All of your posts and before and after pics have gotten me pretty excited to start trying some of this.
I've been kind of "detailing" cars for friends for awhile now. All by hand, but never anything like what I see you guys doing. Anyhow, I ordered a PC and I should have it tomorrow. I've got kind of a "test" car that I don't really care about to try things out on.
My real questions is about my roomate's car. He has a 97 Eclipse. The front of the car has been recently repainted because it was vandalized , but the rear bumper has never been touched. The rear is extremely dull. He took it to a body shop and they told him they would have work on it, reclear it, yada yada. I'll have to try to post some pics, but I can't see why the clear coat would just be completely gone. We may try to get it looking better ourselves, but I was just looking for some advice on the best plan of attack for it.
I realize it's difficult to say without seeing it, but I'll try to get some pics of it up later on.
Thanks,
Steve
