New website opinions?

I'm almost ready to go live with my new website and was wondering what everyone thinks. Just disregard the About Us page for now, it's still the wording/pictures that came with the template. I'm mainly wondering is it easy on the eyes, does the layout look good on different monitors/different browsers. And what do you think of the services page, and my short explanation about paint correction?

Compared to my old (current) website at Newington Connecticut Auto Detailing -- Explicit Details Auto Appearance, I think it looks awesome but always open to opinions.

I think your old (present) site is much better than the new!

Really? What do you like better about it? The overall look? That's actually a Wordpress template, which is a trial version so I can't do what I want with it. The sidebars and other things are disabled. I'd consider keeping that one, but the company that mkde the template no longer offers the pro version so I can't upgrade. I don;t like working with the wordpress platform anyway. But I'm loving the Intuit site builder so that's where I'm going with it.

I think the new site looks good, but you're missing a major component -- where's the photo gallery?

I will definitely add one in the next day or so before I go live with the site. I was thinking of putting a small gallery on the website with a link to see more pictures that will send people to my Facebook page.

I suppose that could work, but there are plenty of people out there who don't use Facebook and would likely pass on contacting you if forced to go there to see your pics. (Yes, I'm one of those people who is living a Facebook-free life.)

Just a thought.

This is true. I think I'll go ahead and do a full gallery on the website. There's already a FB link on the home page anyway.

I've added some things to the About US page as well. Even a couple pics of my ugly mug.

I think you need to make it pop some more. You should have your logo professionally snazzed up a bit. Keep it basically the same, but make a hi res version with some cool texture.

I hired a company called Silver Connect to build my website. It turned out awesome and seemed too good to be true. I would call Dan at 713-474-1695 ext 2019. Check out the site he did for me at mancavedetail.com. He is extremely quick and always does what he says he's going to do. So far I have paid a little over $500 and I got the wordpress intergration allowing me to upload new content and pictures myself!

I think he will give a discount if you let him know I refered you.
