New truck! What do you all think?

Here is a pic of my new truck. I just washed it and used Megs nxt tech protectant. I like the look but it looks like it rubs off though. I noticed that when I got out of the truck there was a spot on the door that came off on my leg. I wasted 120 bucks on paint sealer from the stealership so where should I start? I know the first step is clay I was thinking Clay Magic and then what. I also have a new Durango but no pics. The wife could not stand me getting a new toy so she got one too. The Durango is Silver and does not have any sealant on it.

Thanks in advance! Usta

PS Is that better Jared :dancin

Very nice indeed , at first glance I thought it was the Powerwagon edition. The 2500 has the live axle in front right? Sounds like you're off to a good start with you detail plan. I would suggest the clay and atleast a mild polish such as Meg's #80 or Menzerna FP II. Then follow up with you choice of wax or sealant. Welcome to Detail City enjoy the wealth of knowledge here.

if you have seen his pictures it is hard to argue with GSRstilez. AIO or FP..used both ..good choices... FMJ another good choice. never used UPP.

you will have fun keeping that truck looking jsut like it is...SHarp!!

I am thinking first clay then AIO and then FPII. How does that sound. Do I have them in the right order? And would you use the PC to apply each.

Thanks! Usta

Do:

-Clay
-FPII
-AIO
-then your LSP

FPII has light abrasives that will remove light defects. You can go straight to an LSP from it, but AIO will enhance the look a bit more.

Ok...

Clay to remove bonded contaminants (sand papery feel on paint).

Polish with FPII to remove light marring/swirling/waterspotting.

Klasse AIO to enhance gloss and to help the bonding of the sealant.

Which LSP (Last Step Product) you use is up to you. UPP or FMJ are excellent choices.

Absolutely beautiful, I love the color. I would love to see the FP II followed up by some FTG (as I am not an advocate of AIO) and FMJ on that paint. There is a bit of exterior plastic and metal; maybe some VRT (or Trim Restore) and Adams metal polishes for those areas.

I want to thank everyone for thier advice and thier compliments. I too love this color. It is Atlantic Blue. I had an 03 with the Hemi and yes thats where my name came from. I went through an intersection and T-boned a cop :shift
I don't think he was watching where he was going :phone: But anyway it was Atlantic Blue also. When it came time to replace the 03 I just couldn't switch colors. I almost went grey but I couldn't do it. I love this color and want to keep it as nice as possible. Oh and the 03 only had 22,000 miles on it and was garaged. :drool I loved that truck. But the 05 is awsome. I kind of went off on a rant there but Keep those suggestions coming I am a sponge and addicted to this forum.

Thanks again! Usta
