new to polishing

i have an 04 jetta and i just bought a pc. i dont have any swirls but i want my car to look like a mirror, since i have no swirls should i go with ssr 1, or should i still start at ssr2? also what pads should i use?

Start with SSR1 with a white lake country polishing pad. Should give some extra gloss/depth.

Are you sure you dont have any swirls? Have you stripped all the wax and looked at it under a halogen? VW clear is hard, so even if you dont have swirls, you still might have to use an aggressive combo.
