new to pc, friend threw package and have questions on vibrating and sound

Hi all. I'm pretty new to this forum, been looking around and searching about the pc. I did use the search button and been researching. But never seen the real thing till today. This is the first time i heard and used it to test that it worked. How duriable is this machine. When it was shipped to my work, a coworker threw the package across the room without knowing what was in it. Would this damage the product? I turned it on and it works fine i guess. Is it suppose to be very shaky, or in other words vibrate that much? Never used a buffer, so i dunno what is normal. Sorry. Also, the pad is suppose to jiggle, i looked at it and it looks like it just goes one way, also when u put the foam on ur hand, its normal for it to heat it. I know its suppose to with rotaries, but is it for the PC? Sorry for the noob questions. just curious and paraniod after the drop. thanks



Also, i just bought pads from CMA. DO i need to wash them first, or i can just use them. THanks. I know noob questions, but i wanna make sure. Excited to use my PC the first time.

The stupid lady at Home Depot threw mine up on the counter from a few feet away and a few feet up in the air, made a loud noise when it hit. I said "what the hell are you doing you moron" then got the manager and opened it up, everything checked out fine but it pissed me off a bit, especially when you could see it was a power tool.
 
If its vibrating to much you should be more careful in trying to centrer the pads on the backing plate, or at least thats what helped me.

One other thing to remember is that you should not run the PC unless it is actually on a panel and working. I think even the instructions say something about not "free-running it". The vibration will seem much worse if it is running in the air, and not on a panel.



Vibration is also lessened or exagerated by the counterweight-pad combination.



A friend ordered his through Amazon and it was shipped from them in the box that you would see it at Lowes in. This means that UPS threew it around before he saw it, and his seems fine.
