New Regimen -- Klasse + Souveran

I've got a few questions that I was hoping you guys could help me out with. I've been using 3M IHG, P21S GEPC and Blitz wax for years now, but I want to try a new regimen.

I was thinking about polishing/glazing with the GEPC and then doing the Klasse twins then topping off with Souveran. From searching on these forums, though, I haven't seen anyone recommend polishing/glazing prior to the Klasse twins -- can anyone tell me whether such polishing/glazing is a bad idea? Moreover, I've read conflicting reports as to whether the wax topper should come after the AIO or after applying the SG. I'd like to go with both the AIO and the SG, but is that a bad idea? Thanks in advance for all your help.

It seems that a glaze product may not allow the Klasse twins to bond properly. I'd strongly encourage as much defect removal as possible first . AIO +SG is a wonderful idea, a few layers of SG topped with Souveran is now my regimen and it is absolutely breath taking!

It's a new, silver car so I'm hoping there aren't too many defects. So is your recommendation that I just clay the car then AIO + SG + Souveran the thing? I really like the deep gloss I get from GEPC ... will I get the same from the AIO?

Yes, clay, Klasse twins, wax.

If the Klasse twins don't give you the gloss you want, the wax you choose really ought to, The GEPC might intefer with the Klasse so I'd refrain from it. There have been some posts on this site discussing which wax really makes silver pop the most.

Or you could try both. First try GEPC + souveran and then on your next detail try klasse twins + souveran and pick which one you like better. I just bought a bottle of GEPC to try out with my souveran. My last combo was Megs hand polish + PS but GEPC is much easier to work with.

For silver, I think you'd be better off using Signature than Souveran. It cost significantly less and is formulated for metallics where as Souveran is really best on dark colors & red. I really like Signature. P21S would be another great choice.

Do you have Souveran on hand? I wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of it topping the twins.

Using GEPC before AIO is a waste of time. GEPC and AIO are both pre wax/sealant cleaners. What ever GEPC leaves behind to give you the deep gloss AIO will remove. AIO leaves the paint looking great and feeling very slick. Then apply as many layers of SG as you want waiting at least 24 hours between layers. Then when you have all the SG layers you want on the paint you can top with Souveran.
