Official Wax Waster
I was at the chevy dealer today, they had to replace my rotors and drums because of a vibration in the brakes(under warrenty). But as i roamed around there was a 2010 corvette with a window label advertising Molecular Adhesion Technology, I read about it on Commodore coating web page, is this just a sealent like any other or is this the meca of all sealents. Just wondering, it was offered by chevy.Commodore Coatings - What We Do

When I bought my new car the dealer tried to sell me something like that but it had a different name I don't remember what they called it.

This stuff is where the dealer really makes money they wanted me to pay $650:00 for the sealant and they was persistent till I made it very clear that I did not want it and if they kept pushing me to buy it I was going to walk out and not buy the car.

2 days later I took it to ZieBart for rust proofing and they tried to sell me a $350.00 wax job that was nothing but Car Brite wax.

"This cutting-edge technology delivers a super-premium shine and - more important -- its protection can be warranted for up to five years. Paint Renewers refresh and renew paint, helping to ensure long-lasting vehicle beauty and value. Learn about how Acid Rain threatens vehicles"

If I got my bet right this garbage needs to be re-applied x times a year for the waranty to be in effect.

I remember that being offered to me back when I bought my Murano except it was Auto Armor. White bottle with a tank on it.

My friend bought a Lexus GS350 with a "teflon" package that gaurantees some kind of paint protection. I don't if it's a product or a service but if it nicks or chips it gets repaired.

He made it seem as if they were applying something to the paint because the car was a CPO so it's not like it's in the paint.

All of those add on's are money makers for the dealership and they pray on the buyers to be unaware that they are useless over all

Many people (manufactures ) offer such products and also have warranty cards. You can get products from suppliers that will allow you to up sell your stuff with a warranty card to give the customer after you complete the job. Its not new its just another way to make some coin. Do your own work and know what ya got after it's completed...

This is old time stuff pro products was doing this 20 years ago and they have first class products as well. I also remember some Teflon stuff in a white and blue bottle that had a warranty with it also, claiming it would last 1 billion years.

My sister works for a company that makes dealer applyed super sealant. She got me some and I have to tell you it does shine great , but not worth that kind of money. As far as lasting , I dont know because it only been on a month.
