Not sure who makes it but 1500 psi should be plenty. It'll take you longer to do the same task then one with a higher psi or gpm rate. The task of cleaning a car though with a pressure washer is not very demanding that the time spent will be very much. If you were cleaning a 1000 sq ft deck then it would be considerably slower. I forget where I read it but some site listed general cleaning tasks and how long it would take based on the psi and gpm. My pressure washer is 2000 psi and is plenty strong enough. I don't even run it at max pressure and it's still plenty. You probably have an adjustable nozzle. As I understand things your pressure washer would be just as powerful as mine except you would be covering a little smaller area then I would to do the same task.

Thats the pressure cleaner I have. I used it about 3-4 times a week. Works pretty well. Unfortunately the wand gave out before the machine...

Haven't used it since. Although I do miss the power of using a pressure cleaner, I like not having to pull out extension cords to power the sucker up.

The electric washers don't seem too be durable. I do remember the thread when you where looking to buy one,LOL I think you said how did i live this long without one :) . Joyride the only issue was the wand, but you where happy with the HDSD performance right. Any reason why you didn't replace the wand..

Congratulations on a very nice Father's Day Gift, Joe.p!!!

You have a very thoughtful daughter.

The reason why I haven't replaced the wand is because I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace's, ect and no one had a replacement wand that fit the model.

The only replacements they had would include a new hose and wand attachment running at 60 dollars all together. Thats 66% of what I payed for a NEW cleaner. I rather hold out for a nicer more durable PW.

I like the design of that model! I've seen something similar from Home Depot (Husky), but your model looks a bit different.

That's a pretty nice Father's Day gift:)

Let us know how you like it. Are you planning to mount it to a garage wall? If you do, would you mind sharing a few pics?

If you'd pm me with the fitting type, I MIGHT have a wand that I can send you...I'll look this evening in my shed to see if it's still there. If it is, it's brand new and has the adjustable tip. I know I don't have any extra hose.

Thanks!

Another thing to mention is don't try mounting it to the wall. If you do, you will have NO slack to move around the car. You only get like 19 ft of hose.

that model look like the weekender from HD i think the had special last year around father day or something like that(holiday) it an electric pressure washer i purchased and it did not provide enough power, only when concentrated yes, but that takes to long to clean a rim or wheel wheels no matter i returned it and will wait till i save some money and buy what i originally wanted gas pressure washer.....plus im glad i returned it from hearing what other had said about electrical PW...again i heard on gas too but i know what to replace to ensure a long free usage....also i beileve this is made specific for HD...what i did like about this unit simular to yours is it came with a carrying case and had a foam type dispenser, cant remember if it was as good as my foam gun i think it was just u cant change ratio none the less it work great i think it had other attachments and wasnt to loud and another reason i like it was it would only make noise when trigger was applied when not no noise sweet and small to fit in your trunk of your car, if your mobile and dont have a trailer like others...congrats on your new toy ....

I have the exact same one as shown. I did wall mount it in the garage however you can take it off. Although with that being said the front is starting to sag a bit from the wieght. Not sure the plastic support is strong enough for the weight.

On to the cleaning ability:

It works ok for me, strong enough for the car and some cleaning applications, but when I try reaching higher areas on the house lets say, its not quite strong enough. I have also noticed that occaisonaly it has a hard time keeping up and I need to restart it meaning stop pressing on the wand wait a couple of seconds and then try it again. Other then that it works ok. My next one will be gas though.

She is a SweetHeart cwcad, never had any problems with her. I have to give my wife all the credit :) ..

I have the parts catalog would you like me to check for you.
seeing it is a gift i won't return it,I'll make sure i Get plenty of use out of it and think of Nichole on the days when i dont have to spend a 1/2 on the wheels..

That's a pretty nice Father's Day gift:)
Thanks for the kind words..

congrats on your new toy
djmgs Thanks for for posting an informative reply..

My next one will be gas though
Stephan, gas would be nice, but there loud and sense i'll be using the electric one around the house i think the neighbors may like me for this when i'm washing the car at 7am Sat :lmfao

Good luck Joe your going to ask yourself how you ever did with out a pressure washer I know I did. I have a electric PW and love the idea on not another gas powered tool don't have to worry about running out of gas right in the middle of a job again good luck and enjoy the PW...:howdy

joe That looks like a nice PW...1500 psi is plenty for doing the car...I have a 1750 ...and I turn down the pressure ..so yours will be fine...it will remove brake dust ..mine will at lower psi..I just spray a cleaner on and let dwell a few and spray off...clean...

also I noticed it has what looks like a foamer also..the bottle thing in the back...I have one simular to it....it works for what it is....

congrats on the new toy..have fun....

also if you have to make a long run with it..use a heavy extension cord..or you seem to lose power....I got a contractor grade extension ..it is either 10-3 or 12-3 guage cord...heavy duty....I had a smaller guage and it seemed to get warm...so get a heavy duty cord....

Spray away

I was just talking about getting some good extension cords.
I have plenty but none of them are worth much and i'm not sure of the guage on the corrd.

sneek
yep its from Home Depot
No where does it say Husky, maybe it was made by Husky for HD. many people here who purchased the Husky had problems with the pump burning out.

I know i mentioned i would keep the Power washer sense it was a Father's day Gift, but
would i be a bad DAD if i put in the Extra$$ and upgrade it ?

LOL, I have the same one. It lasted maybe 15 times? The pump blew and speaking with their tech reps via e-mail was like communicating with a chimp. I basically threw it out since it would cost like 35% of what I paid for it (like $75 on sale) to ship it back.

It is made for and distributed by Home Depot. Their Husky PW has the same toll free number to call for help.

Here is their site for your PW: http://www.hdpowerwasher.com/index.php

You shouldn't need an extension cord, the one attached is really long. If you need one, Costco sells heavy gauge ones that are real cheap compared to the same ones at Home Depot and Sears.

Best of luck with it. That was very nice of your daughter. It's a nice size, very compact with perfect pressure for what we do. It worked great on brake dust, wheel wells and rocker panels. Sprayed off a lot of crud.

No Joe you would not be a bad DaD...just tell them the gift and thought was great..and it came from thier heart...but upgrading it to a better model will make them feel better incase the one they got you fails...

But just keep reminding them how good you feel inside that they got you something thet you always wanted...

Great family you have...nice of them to get that for you...came from thier heart...
