Yesterday I went to Coastal Tool in Hartford, CT and bought a PC 7424 polisher. Came with a 6 inch backing plate and the weight for balance, $119.00. Also came with a white foam pad. Can I use this pad for polishing or should I order a set from somewhere?
 
When I bought my PC it came with a stock foam pad that was glued onto a backing plate which you had to screw into the machine. If this is what you have then don't bother using it. The glue separates and the pad absorbs a lot of the product. I would just go ahead and order up some pads from our sponsors and go from there.
