new paint

So there I was, backing the truck out of the garage after an afternoon detailing when...... I really thought I had raised the garage door all the way. Scraped to the metal in a (fortunately) very small area on the roof near the rear window, some minor scratches

You'd think by now I would not make such a stupid mistake.



In any case, it's being fixed today, sanded, painted, etc. My question is, what can and what can't I do (and for how long) to this area of new paint? Products in use currently that would normally touch that area of the truck are p21S (shampoo, gepc, and wax) and Einman Fabrik CP.

Hi Ernie,



We've talked about this subject a lot here. I always suggest you discuss this with your painter as he is the only person that knows what paint was used and how it was applied. He can tell you when the paint is OK to wash and wax.



Any comments by us are 100% speculation as no one here painted your car. Remember you are the one paying them for the work so ask lots of questions.
