New paint protection!

I just bought a new '07 Toyota Camry, the color is Magnetic Grey Metallic, beautiful color! What is the best wax/sealant to use on new paint? I'm unsure what the dealer applies, probably not much. I put on a coat of Gold Class Cleaner wax, but that's not much of a long lasting protection. I appreciate the info.

Thx :bow

No real difference between your new vehicle's paint and an older car's. But the newer paint shouldn't need any aggressive measures. Pick something you like using and use it frequently.

A simple solution would be to use the Gold Class and top it with something from COLLINITE. I like their 476S Paste Wax. They call it "detergent proof", and for good reason, it lasts a long time and the beading is incredible.

The Gold Class will gently clean the paint and the Collinite will provide long term protection. It's an easy and effective approach. This site has all sorts of extreme approaches for those who want to get really "serious" (note the quotes ;) ) about this stuff, but it's not necessary to go off the deep end to have a great looking car.

Thanks for the advice!

Actually, that is a great product, it's what I used to use at a Limo company I worked for, I cleaned and maintained the fleet. I couldn't remeber what it was called, so you made my day! :thx

:woohoo:
