New Paint Need help

Hi, i just got my car repainted and everything thing seem to be good. The body shop guy polish the car and i was wondering how long do i have to wait til i can wash my car and wax it. or polish a little more if needed.

There should be no problem washing your car, but I'd avoid waxing or polishing for the next month or two.



IIRC Mike Phillips had a write up on fresh paint and LSPs. The thread name escapes me at the moment, but I know it's on Autopia somewhere.
 
wash is not a problme but no wax for 90 days. I sopke wiht a Dupont paint tech a few months back on the phone and he said to cure is 120 days for most new paints that are out. Been a lot of debate on just how long one needs to waite ,but 90 days you should be ok. You can use a glaze but not wax or sealant
 
You can wash and polish with body shop approved polishes right away. Just wait to wax like other have stated above.
