New pads

COME AT ME BRO
I am in the market for some new pads. Originally, I had intended to purchase some replacement Edge 2000 pads with the velcro backing. First question is , can you even still get those. I'm not interested in going to the quick adapter system. I have other pads with the velcro backing, and I'd just prefer to keep using the same type pad.

Second question: Since I've been shopping around, I have came across the CCS Low Profile Foam Pads. I was hoping maybe someone could give me some feedback on these pads.

Of course, other suggestions would be appreciated as well. I'm looking to replace polish pads - 5.5" to 6".

Thank you DC.

My local supplier still carries the Edge Velcro pads rotary and PC....The Edge QD system is a great one but there are still a lot of Velcro user still.....I have some but have switched over to the QD as my supply was starting to get old on the VB pads

In hopes of getting a little feedback, does anyone suggest any pads? At all? Anyone? I know some of you guys are using a polisher and pads. :D

This probably won't help much, but it might be better than what you have received thus far.
Most of my pad use has been Meguiar's and while I'm not terribly unhappy with them, I don't think I would recommend them. They work fine, but the Velcro backing separation issue was such a problem that for that reason, I would probably try something different.
If Meg's has the Velcro separation cured, then that would make a big difference.
I presently have a few Lake Country pads, but they haven't seen enough use for me to have good feedback. So far, they seem to work fine and no Velcro separation yet.

I have two backing plates and their is a big difference in the gripping power between the two of them. One grips so tight that if I didn't make sure to grip the pad by the Velcro backing, it seems like I could rip the Velcro off any pad. That may have contributed to my Velcro problem, but doesn't account for all the problems that other people have had.

Thanks Charles. Since I was in a pickle with the 4" back plate, I just went ahead and ordered one for a replacement and a 4 pack (light cut and polish) LC low profile pads (regular pads, not CSS) from AG. It worked out to be the best price. Had I not been in the need for the 4" plate, I could have waited for more feedback, but time was an issue in this case.

On a side note, I won a gift certificate from Autopia and with that purchased some new 4" pads. I got the Sonus ones, and from the little time I used them, I really liked them. I will be using the finish pads for ZAIO and Z2 Pro, so I'll get a little more exposure to them. FWIW, my experiences with the Sonus line have been very good. I don't know why it isn't talked about more often. Also, when I received the package, there was a "freebie" Sonus shampoo in the box that I intend to try out soon. Just thought I'd share some positive feedback with a supplier (even though they're not a DC sponsor), since folks tend to hear the bad more often.

I have used the LC CCS pads and I am not sure if I like them or not, for some reason at least for me it takes me a while when I am using my PC to break down the polishes, well alot more time then other pads...

I also like the Meguirs pads, my issue with them while I have not had a problem with the velcro coming off persay but rather it wearing out prematurly
