Hi all,
I found the site a little while ago, but am just now reading through the archives in earnest, trying to establish a foundation of knowledge.
I am a hopeless car addict on a private-school teacher's salary...not a winning combo :grinno:
I just sold one of my cars, and am now left with five:
'69 GTO I've had since senior year of high school in '94
'92 Firebird Formula (actually a rare car)
'92 Trans Am (rare, but in pieces)
'95 Formula
'05 Silverado
With spring coming, I'd like to get some detailing experience under my belt. I've been cleaning and waxing my cars since high school, but as far as real detailing, I can't say I've done it. I was actually thinking of paying a local place $200 to do "the works" to my '95 Formula, but after reading through this site, think I'd prefer to do it myself. I've got my eye on that PC random orbit buffer and some of the other products for sale on here.
I am going to take some pics of the '95 and post them in the appropriate section here to ask for some opinions on product selection for my little project. The car is a four-season driver that I want to get looking as good as possible, with my amateurish skills and a new PC polisher and some detailing products.
Look forward to getting to know some of you.
Dave
