New & looking for input

Been an on and off reader, but just picked up my 05 GTO Impulse Blue Metallic that I really want to take care of from the get-go:

I have used Zaino, but want to try something else to maximize "pop" to the metallic in the paint.

Here are some details regarding my car, wash/wax habits:

Car is a daily driver parked outside and uncovered.

I'm located in Maryland, so winter washes are 4-6 weeks.

Warmer weather I wash at least twice a month.

I clay at least twice a year.

I hand wash and wax (which I prefer!).



I work thoroughly and quickly and definitely want dust-free/near dust-free products that are easy to use and "time efficient".



Here is what I am looking at:

P21S Wash

Menzerna FPII

Menzerna FMJ or 4* UPP

Natty's Blue or OCW (added)



Suggestions / thoughts please!
 
I just used UPP on my Silver scion and it worked well. I think FMJ will give your color a little more pop. Natty's blue might work well with that color as well.

That's close to the combo I'm planning, but I'm going with Jeff's AJ as my sealant.
 
I think with a proper wash and clay followed by Menzerna FPII and Zaino Z2 Pro, you have a hard to beat combo on metallic blue...

If you want pop, AIO followed by UPP is amazing. You get the durability of a sealant plus the pop is fantastic. You can top with Natty's Blue if you want some more wetness.

Weather is supposed to be nice Saturday, so hopefully I'll be trying the new products out! :waxing:
 
Nice to see another GTO owner on the board. I have a 2005 Midnight Blue Metallic that I'm currently using Clearkote glazes and wax topped with Natty's Blue and I LOVE the results. It's the best of both worlds. It had previously been polished with Optimum polish as well.



Your combo will work great. I would recommend a quick detail spray as well, however. It is also very important to work with nice microfiber towels, wash with either chenille or sheepskin mitts, and dry with soft, plush waffle weave towels.

I figured there had to be at least one or two other GTO owners on here! :spot



I'll be using Zaino Z6 as QD (love it), and of course MF towels.



Currently browsing and looking at PC sets and will order a sheepskin mitt and waffle weave towels.



This site is burning a hole in my wallett. :help:
 
Meguiar's NXT High Tech Wax would be a nearly dust-free product that's easy to use and time efficient.



NXT would yeild very good results, especially on your Impulse Blue Metallic GTO.
