Hey all!

I just recently found this site from HondaSociety and I've been lurking a couple days but now its time to join you all!

My current exterior work plan is:

Gold Class Wash

Clay Magic - Blue clay

Zaino Z2

Megiars Endurance Tire Gloss

Interior:

Gold Class Vinyl detailer.

thats all...any more things I need to add to my inventory is greatly appreciated!

But now onto my real question...

I live in apartments, not ordinary apartments, but collegiate apartments. And just last year, some a-hole did a good number on my car. Of course, this is only an assumption, but I figure theres no other way these scratches could have occurred otherwise. Some you cannot feel others you can. And they're so many of them, some 1/8" and some 4"

Here are some pics to let you know what I mean:

WARNING: these are large pics! 1600x1200 so I could show in detail the scratches...

My theory is that someone parked next to me was carrying some sort of heavy bag that brushed along the corner of my trunk leaving me some pretty scars.

I tried removing them by just waxing over them but that doesn't work. And being the newbie I am, I gave up hope...but now I've found you! Teach me the ways autopia! Thanks in advance to all that reply!

I would suggest that you try and polish these marks out. Have a look in the Member Services section or better still, download DavidB's book, where all you need to know is covered.

I would have washed the car first, so you could see the scratches with more ease. Anyway, I think you could get rid of most of these marks without to much hassle.

Welcome to Autopia

Forgot to mention the car was completely detailed...to my inventory's extent 2 days ago...it rained last night and thus the condition of the car :D

To be exact it rained approximately 7 hours after I finished detailing...

I was looking forward to driving a gleaming car the following morning only to awaken to gray skies and a beautiful beading car which is a good and bad thing.

Yeah tell me about it...here in Houston...

I was praying the humidty + condensation wouldn't leave water spots on my car the next day...but instead I got rain...so I dont know if thats supposed to be a plus or what not...

Actually...in one of the pics you can see a pretty good relection...I just realized that when I looked this time

You can try EO scratch remover or ScratchX to remove the scratches.

Can you run a fingernail across them. if it catched your nail then the scratches are too deep and a more agressive approach will be necessary.

Some catch...others dont... I was skeptical about ScratchX but I guess I'll give it a shot next time I wash...

Is it safe for Z2? I dont plan on a full wax stripping until early january.
