Let me know what y'all think! :xyxthumbs

Gotta love a dark car!

Welcome :welcome:

Be careful though... There's a kid called 'Buick_Guy1' on here. He's trouble when it comes to Regals. Especially the supercharged models ;)

:lol

Its clayed of course and hand glazed with 3M Imperial Handglaze and 2 coats of TS Clearcoat from TransTech Services. I use it everyday at work. So far its the best stuff i'v used yet!

Why is the Buick guy trouble?

Gotta love Beautiful Black Paint:xyxthumbs

Buick Guy is a good kid..Its his Mom's car ya gotta watch out for:rofl

What happened to clean Buick engines? That looks like a spool of wire exploded in there. My 3800 doesn't have any of that exposed stuff (mine is a different generation). Did you take some plastic cover off of the intake manifold?

Buick_Guy isn't trouble. Just giving someone my own age a hard time ;) I thought he would have replied to this thread by now :nixweiss

Ha, ya well there are things called work and school you know ;) . To reply about the cover. Well, its to keep the heat from building up, and for god's sake, why would you want to cover a supercharger!!!! Plus, KR is a bad thing when having a modded, blown car. He looks to have a 3.4" pulley, and a gutted airbox, so he has to try and keep the heat out, just like me.

Also, saw the car on regalgs.org already, nice looking car.

Keep it up.

Yours is the one that runs low 13's in the quarter mile, right Buick Guy? The one your father drives to work?

That cover is called the "sight shield" and that's exactly what it does. I really doubt significant heat could build up under it. Even with it gone, there's still a hood right there... ;)

Nice car BlackRegalGSE, and looks like you've done a bit to it. Your paint seems to have less orange peel than my Regal. Question about your grounding kit, did it seem to help anything other than asthetics? And if so, where'd you get it from? Nice looking car and :welcome

P.S. Buick_guy, you can tell the difference in a few 1/10ths of an inch on the pulley from that picture? If so, good job eagle eye!

Mid to low 13's. Quick car.

Also, Aurora40, you can just look at the lip. If you see the inside corner of the pulley, its usually stock, if it isn't, then it's usually a step or two lower.

Yeah, that's really pretty impressive...you should be proud of your work. I was just browsing my Car & Driver (12/04) and the new 'Vette does 12.6 (400 HP), which beat the 911 Carrera at 12.8 (321 HP). Your car (oops, I mean your Dad's) is even faster than the new Acura RL at 15.2 in the 1/4 (300HP) and the new Mustang GT at 13.8 (300 HP). Looking at the Road Test Digest, yours is much faster than the Monte Carlo SS with the same engine (15.1 seconds). It's in the same bracket as the Cadillac CTS-V with the 'Vette engine (13.2 seconds).

I'm sure you have some closely guarded modding secrets, but would you care to share a few of yours? Because you must be getting way more than the stock 240HP. You might even consider submitting them to Hot Rod Magazine or something similar.

*3.25(track) 3.4(home) pulley

*3 in downpipe

*Cat-Back Exhaust

*Gutted Airbox

*Intense Stage 1 Camshaft

*1.8 Rocker Arms

*Programed DHP PCM

*SLP headers

*Motor mounts, and 180*thermostate.

With those we ran a 13.4. Before I'd turn in my parents car to HotRod magazine, take a look at the regalgs.org 1/4 mile times list.

1/4 Mile list

I'm guessing we are running around 260-280 wheel horsepower, which is about 310 flywheel horsepower.

So as you can see, there aren't any secrets here.

Sorry guys i like to look at the Supercharger thats why i took off the cover. My dad is a home inspector and he has a bunch of lil gadgets and he has one of them lasrer temp readers and i used it and it showed a 36 degree increase in temps with the cover on so it stays off even if its ugly ;) Yes i do have some mods which are a 3.4" pulley, gutted airbox w/K&N,hot ground kit and 2 heat range colder plugs. I could only get a 14.6@94 due to massive spinning and my 1st time with this car. I'll do better in the spring. As for the ground kit....i made it myself with some 4guage power/ground wire you get at your local audio store.

I'm gonna upload some pics of my customer details i had last week you guys should like too :up One of them is a black 2004 Jaguar XJR supercharged V8 sedan with stock 20's,2004 Dodge SRT-10 Ram and some kind of rare XKR Jaguar 2 door hardtop. Was told it was currently the only one in the states. I get all the crap to detail. :nixweiss

Agreed!:xyxthumbs

When I was looking for a daily driver I was heavily looking for GS Regals. I don't think there is a better compliment to a GN than a GS daily driver (maybe a modded lightning to pull the trailer). I kind of wish I would have bought one but was afraid of reliability issues. I knew I would have started modding it and probably ended up breaking stuff. Plus I need my mod money for my other Buick;)
