NEW DP CERAMIC Collection launch.

That looks pretty interesting at first glance, particularly that graphene coating that last 4 years...taking it at face value, anyway.

Pretty excited for this. I have been using DP products since they were released back in 1998. Very happy to see that they are jumping into the ceramic game.

I was browsing a little at AGO this morning, I haven`t been there in ages, I see Mike Phillips did a test car with the graphene coating, he advised the owner not to go to touchless washes because they are too harsh...not sure how much of an endorsement that is for the chemical resistance of the coating.

I believe he was advising that because of the aluminum trim. I also had issues with both my Audi and VW with touchless washes clouding the anodized trim.

Yes, he did specifically talk about the trim but he also said "...if the data about this coating is factual and accurate - this coating will do a great job of protecting the paint and my guess is this car will still glisten and look amazing as long as the coating/car is hand washed and dried." (emphasis mine)

Maybe Mike meant that the car will begin to look less nice once automatic washes (particularly brush) are used?

Either way, would be great to get clarification over on AG. I’ll try to ask on his review page if someone hasn’t already.

Being the Devil`s advocate here.

Has there ever been a product reviewed on AG that wasn`t the best thing since sliced bread?

Mike`s reviews are pretty much user reviews to sell a product or demonstrate technique. That`s fine, everyone understands that. He rarely gives any type of long term feedback.
