New Detailing tool! Thumbs up!

picked this up at Home Depot! Couldn't turn it down for $15. It had been returned and had some plaster on it, so I talked the hardware guy down to $15. He didn't want to do it, but I "used the force" on him and he fell to my power! It's quite stable and is about 20" high. It's perfect for sport utes and vans. I took my sons water float tube and butchered it and put two 8" sections along one side just in case it ever tipped toward the vehicle.

I got one of those about a year ago from Costco for $20 and it has been more than useful. They are currently carrying one that has a small shelf that is about waist level on one end of the bench. IIRC, it's selling for $35 and looks well worth it.

Nice find !!! That is exactly what I have been looking for to work on my F150 and SUV. What was the original price???

The link just took me to the "Value Center"

I bought the same one at costco for < $20. Awesome tool when detailing SUV's or large trucks. Home depot also carries one under the "gorila" line.

EDIT****Sorry spoiledman, didn't see your post. :D

I jjust bought one myself and it works great.I use at work (plumbing) and at home. It's my new favorite tool also!

it gets me up to a perfect hiht most times and allows me to drill holes in joists with more stability than a step ladder. I also like that when I'm working with pipe or at home it allows you to walk a few feet instead of moving the ladder all the time.

I found one at Costco that has a bucket holder too ! $37.95, not bad, for eliminating the balancing act while trying to work polish and control the cord too !

Hope you folks put some non-slip material on the top surface so I don't have to worry about you slipping and falling off ;) Things can get sorta slick, what with car wash solutions and all...

actually mines getting fitted with stair sand-paper type tape. It's a decking type Al on top so I don't think it really needs it, but I like modifying things! :D

Better safe than sorry! That's exactly the sort of friction material/non-slip stuff I was thinking of.
