I heard about this site from the Taurus Club. Visited here a few times, jever joined the forum. Anyway, I think I would be called a new convert to detailing. Why? 6 months ago, I thought it was a complete waste of money to wash a car and make it look shiny. I'm not sure how, but I saw the light about a month ago and bought Wash, Clay Bar, Polish and Carnauba wax. Today was my first time ever doing it and wow, my car looks great. So I think I may be hooked on this detailing thing.
 
Welcome to the madness! I started out pretty much the same way you did. Now, pretty much all the spare change I can scrape up goes for detailing supplies.
