Okay...I just bought a brand new car. 2006 Ford Mustang GT.

This is my first ever new car. What do you guys recommend as a good wax to use on this new paint, and what about a good leather cleaner to have and everything. Here are some pics of the car for color:

I would use some collinite 845IW for ease of use and durability. Souveran for black if you dont mind re-waxing every a few weeks. Or a sealant such as Zaino for good looks and durability. Nice car by the way :)

For the leather either Lexol or Zaino.

I've seen some spectacular results from using Zaino on black. Another great combo I've seen just by browsing the Megs forums is Megs 21 followed by Natty's or Souveran.

BTW I'm totally jealous.

I would consider a good, mild clay first to make sure the surface is 100% clean, then Id consider something like the Zaino Z2 Pro topped with Soveriegn. Soveriegn is amazing, well worth the price. UNfortunately the "pop" only lasts 2-4 depending on how /where you keep the car but the protection lasts longer. As for leather I use Lexol which can be purchased at most any auto parts store.

Love everything about your new vehicle EXCEPT the antenna anyway colorx and gold glass would be my choice for that color will last along time double protection enjoy your vehicle oh love the interior

Sweet Mustang!! How much did yo pay for it?? Clay the hell out of it and then paint seal it. Maintain with carnuba wax as much as possible. The more the better.

If you want to splurge, AIO/Souveran is an awesome combo to use. If you want something that looks almost the same for alot less money, AIO/Natty's Blue would be a great combo to use. You could even go so far as to throw in a glaze like RMG under the wax to enhance the wetness.

oh, and take that damn dealer emblem off the upper left hand corner of the trunk!

Are you really able to tell the difference in finishes between Souveran and Natty's Blue in a brand new car? I've never used either, but will one really out perform the another on brand new paint?

Two suggestions:

Carnauba - go with Pinnacle Souveran and update with Crystal Mist - roughly 2 months durability

Sealant - wait a few weeks on the Zaino Z-5 Pro to arrive - roughly 6 months durability with Z-8

Was surface. Rub hand across hold is it smooth if not clay it. Use Menzerna Po85 RD or Final polish II. Use RMG X 2 then souveran X 2. Wear your sunglasses.

Sorry to hear about your new purchase of a Ford product. LOL J/K I would use Natty's blue on black because it looks so wet and as for the leather, I've never had any experience with colored leather.

you need to change your sig that is not a 97! I do aio klasse followed by a few layers of sealent glaze followed by souvrain see pics of my black 05 Tl in the autopia garage. With a new car you may need toclay it first as mentioned it should feel like glass when you run your hand over it. However not all new cars need it. My new vette didn't the finish was superb from the factory
