Hi I have a new black car and it seems to have minute scratches on the paint work .. I cannot feel it with my fingernails ... How can I remove it off? Can I use SMR on it? Or a light rubbing compound? But if I do it too often .. the paint will get thinner right?

There is alot of informaiton out there regarding light scratches, SMR use, do a search and you will find a wealth of information out there. Also, be sure to get DavidB's ebook - there is alot of good info regarding scratches and how to remedy the issue.

The goal of using SMR is to minimze or remove the scratches from your paint. Protect with a sealant and if you like layer with a good wax. Once that is done a good washing technique will minimize any future scratching, swirl marks, etc.

Yeah I think that if you're in conditions where you're constantly getting swirls for some reason then you can't keep polishing it all the time. But normally swirl removal isn't perfomed all that often given proper washing and care. Once you polish the swirls out, the trick is to try and keep it that way for as long as possible...
