ok i Picked up my 2004 EX v6 6spd navi (balck) accord with areo kit the other day. Well as the combo on that car is very rare they had to delear locate it. it was sitting on a lot for about 5 - 6 months with probley the spray and wipe line up team that washes all delears cars where i live.

Well in the right light you can see the swril marks like someone took a old crappy towel and wiped her down in circles. Also from the rain and what not sitting on the car over the months and with the hot texas sun baking on them there are lots o water marks and etching. >< Other then that the car is great. ^^

So i washed her 3 times yesterday and clayed her down till it was smooth as glass. But you can still see the water marks. But not a bump to feal at all. So i guess thats something that the PC (Porter Cable Duel Action polisher. It took me 2 hours to find out what the hell PC ment so hopefully this will help out the nOObs to this forum like my self) with what ever polish combo i choose to go with will cure i hope.

Witch brings me to my couple of ?'s

I am stuck between the Meguiars #83 + #82 + #81 + that new NXT wax.

Or

Poorboys SSR2 + SSR 1 + PwC + EXP x2 and nattys x 2
and i apply the 2nd coats by hand right? and should i use a polish or finish pad on the Pwc and EXP???

and from what i have learned are the edge pads the best to go with? for this application

and one last one. If using the edge pads witch one sould start with the SSR2 or #83 the polishing pad or the light cutting one?

thanks. ooo and i dont have a Digital camera so no pics sorry.

Thanks to anyone that responds to this post. I just want this black car to be as close to perfect and jaw droping beautiful as i can get it.

You can mix and match brands. I've won 2 trophies this year at car shows mixing PB's and Megs. If it's as bad as you say, I'd try either #83 or SSR2.5. #83 applied twice with a yellow cutting pad will elimiated 99% of all swirls. I can't comment on 2.5 as I haven't used it. After that use either #82 or SSR1, SSR1 leaves the color deeper than #82 and I prefer to use it over 82 on dark cars. The next step I'd use a sealant, EXP, NXT, or UPP. Then top with Nattys. If you use it, I'd put #81 inbetween the sealant and wax as it's very oily and the sealant won't bond to the paint. Keep in mind #81 is a purely "looks" step and won't provide much, if any durability.

Perhaps something like the DACP (83) X 2 as stated, and finish off with 3m PI III MG( apply thinly to avoid caking up) Then your last step products

ok heres what ive decided to do.

wash
clay
wash
ssr2 at 5 on the pc with polishing pad to start with will go to ssr2.5 if needed then ssr2 with light cutting edge pad if needed more
ssr1 at 5-5.5 with polishing
exp first coat at 4.5 with pc and white edge pad.
exp 24 hours later wnd coat by hand
nattys 24 after that by hand.

In sunlight you can kinda see the swril marks but if i put the car in the garage close the door and bust out my 500 watt scuba diving light it is SCARY what that thing shows.

And i alos hope that the hurricane is not going to shut down PAC on tuesday or ups caus i want to get this done soon caus im loosing sleep knowing what my dive light sees.

I got this car for 500 under invoice caus it was a close out so i saved around 4k over geting a 05. otherwise i would of waited to get the 05

cheers
