New Car Prep 2016 Audi A3

I traded in my 2014 Civic Si for this 2016 Audi A3 2.0t quattro. The car is new and has never been washed but it did sit for nearly 6 months at the dealer without anyone touching it. Here it is in my driveway with 300 miles on it. Just a little dirty. The color is Lotus Gray.

Wheels were cleaned with 3D BDX and the tires and wheel wells were cleaned with Adam's APC.

Here it is after a wash with Adam's Car Shampoo.

I then sprayed the car down with 3D BDX.

I then got the car fairly dry to pull into the garage and clay it.

Only the horizontal surfaces were badly contaminated.

Here is the initial condition of the paint.

Pretty good except a few areas had minor water spots.

Because the paint was in relatively excellent condition, I proceeded with CarPro Essence on a polishing pad at speed 4 on a GG6.

I then brought it back into the garage for:

I also went around and cleaned all of the rubber window trim using Adam's APC

Rubber trim and tires were then dressed with Adam's SVRT. The wheels and windshield got Adam's Quick Sealant. The rest of the glass got HD Poxy.

The final result:

Very nice work SYM!! But most importantly, congrats on your new ride!! That's quite a step up from the Si! How are you liking it so far?

Thank you. I love the car so far. The boost in power is very nice and I got the sport suspension which keeps it extremely flat in the corners. All I miss about my Si is the manual and the color.

Nice ride and even better job!
Thank you
Nice !!!!

How was the essence to work with?
It was easy to work with and had almost no dusting at all. However, I hate the bottle. You need to screw the clear lid on every time you go to shake it otherwise you will lose a lot of product and make a mess.

I did something quite similar to my 09 Audi mid Dec except I just finished with reload with the temps being too cold for the WGUC even tho I have about 45cc's of it waiting for the temps to get warm enough. I then have my Audi my wagon and my brothers Escalade all in line for the Uber coating. It even looks like your Lotus Gray is similar to my Quartz Gray.

Products used CG Citrus W&G, Nonsense APC, Tire & Trim gel, BDX, BF med clay, Essence with Meg MF finishing pad and Reload.
