New car - P21S cleanser, Creme Glaze, AJT, 105

Hi, folks. I picked-up a new car last October - a Graphite Gray (pearl) Evo SE. I asked for the car not to be detailed before delivery, as I wanted to do it myself. I started with FK1 1119, then layered 3 coats of AJT and finished with 1000P. Shortly thereafter, I put the car away for the Winter and took it out a couple of weeks ago. I've applied AW since then and I'm getting ready to do a full detail once the weather starts to cooperate.

I have some questions before I begin:

1. The paint looks just about perfect - no scratches of any kind, no swirl marks, stains, etc. Do I need to polish after cleaning, or is P21S Paintwork Cleanser enough? I have a PC and a variety of products, but I'm open to suggestions as to an easy to use polish if needed.

2. I have some CG Creme Glaze that I've been dying to try. My plan is to top it with AJT, and then move to Duragloss 105. Intuitively, it seems like AJT would make for a good bonding surface for 105. Am I on the right track?

Once I layer the sealants, I'll start applying the Carnaubas. Thanks for the help!

FJF- Can't help with Q#2, but as far as polishing I don't see any point if there's no marring to correct. The P21s GEPC oughta work fine, but note that it leaves some stuff behind that might interfere with a sealant (not "will interfere", just "might").

A light polish with some "finishing polish" might, however, spruce things up more than you'd think. Still, I just redid the LSP on my wife's car and I didn't bother doing any polishing.

Isn't AJT "supposed" to be used as a LSP by itself? I've never really topped AJT with anything and I'm not sure why you would? You could try a caranuba over it, but I've always thought this might affect AJT? How about trying something like Prime which is a nice light cleaner/polish/sealer that really seems to help out on even flawless cars, and then moving to a carnuba, then maybe cleaning that up with AW after washes?

Yes, it can be.

For added protection, varying appearance, but mostly for the fun of it.

I've applied P21S, Blitz and 845 over AJT with good, albeit somewhat different, results.

I like to start out with sealants and then move on to waxes - it's the belt and suspenders approach ;-). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Please forgive my lack of familiarity with some of the jargon; what would be an example of a finishing polish?

A few examples: Menzerna FP ("final polish"), the Menzerna/BlackFire Finishing Polish for Scratch-Resistant Clear, 1Z "pro" Metallic Polish, 1Z MetallicPolishWax, Griot's Machine Polishes #3 and #4, Meguiar's #82 and #9, Zaino's All-In-One.
