I just got a 07 Yaris, black. It's a hatchback. I want to do the following on it this weekend and wonder if this sounds ok, so I am running it by the experts here as i am a beginner. The car is black.:wall

Wash car with FK1 118SC
Clay with yellow poly clay and above wash as a lube
PB SSR1 and Edge white pad with PC 7424
PB PWS
Klasse AIO
Wax with insulator wax (the brand escapes me, as I am not home now).

Does some of this sound like too much?

Thanks guys.:wall

You could probably leave out the AIO out of the process. Will you be applying the PwS via machine or by hand? Other than the AIO, it sounds good to me.

You are on the mark except for the Klasse...Once the car is washed and clayed...have a look at the finish in natural light...if you have swirls that you would like to remove...use the SSR1 or Klasse....I prefer the SSR1 for this...then the P-w-S and head for the wax...Klasse is a mild chemical based cleaner...its a starting step or something that you can use to clean the paint...not something that you can layer....Lastly make sure that the wax you use doesn't have a cleaner in it...a carnuba based wax is what you want...this can be layered ....another thing to think about with black is pure sealant...it helps to bring out black its what I use on my black BMW

If the car doesn't have any heavy swirls or miring I would suggest ClearKote Red Moose Glaze with the finishing pad and then top it off with some Natty's Blue. I have a New Black vehicle and these are the last two steps I used and the car came out Great.
