I bought a new 2009 Camry SE recently and I want to protect and maintain the paint. I'm a newbie to detailing, but here's what I have in my arsenal:
* ONR car wash
* Opti-Seal
* Meg's clay bar + detailing spray/lube + cleaner wax
* Microfiber towels, sponge
Originally I had thought I'd just simply wash it down with ONR and put on a layer of Opti-Seal. Unfortunately, it's been raining alot lately and in just a few days of owning the car, there are some light scratches on the fender (it looks like someone leaned against the car).
My question: Can I get by with what I have, or should I invest in some other products? I'm trying to not go overboard. I thought about buying a PC but that seems like overkill on a new car. Can I get out the fine scratches with what I have? Do I need some other kind of polish (something I can buy at Autozone or VIP auto would be preferable for now)?
Also I read that overusing polish is bad, so if I can polish-out the scratches, should I also polish the rest of the car?
TIA
