Hi I am new to this board and I am expecting the delivery of my new BMW X5 in a month. Can someone tell me how I can keep it looking clean and nice just as it did the day it leaves the dealership.



I am not a pro and only have been using Zymol wax from the auto parts store and maguire polish. Any advise on product would be much appricated.



I was also wondering if I should use a electric polisher or the good old fashion elbow grease on new cars. I went out and bought an orbital one but am so scare that it will do more damage to a new car than doing wax by hand. Thanks a bunch.:)
 
Waxing is more efficent if done by hand. There is no real need for a polisher.



How much time do you want to spend on your car per weekend/month?



If your car is new I would clay is and wax it with one layer of wax once a week if you can or two layers every other week.



If you have swirls or scratches that another story but it's new for now so don't worry about a polish until you need to.

When you wash after this, use a good car shampoo.



To maintain:

Isn't the trial verison of the e-book free as well? Even that has alot of info, the full book would help you even more...



It would save you ............ how many posts do I have? 1000+, yea it'll save you over 1000 posts haha
