hi there,

Welcome to Autopia.

i haven't been a member for long myself, only a week or so.

Everyone is really helpful and friendly... I've already learnt a great deal, although sometimes I do feel more confused than when I started ;)

I'm sure you find this board a great resource - and you can finally breathe a sigh of relief... you're not the only person on the planet who likes to keep their car looking great!

Good Luck,

Welcome to Autopia.

Light suface grit? Can it be washed off? If not sounds like something clay will remove. I cant help with the wipes but Klasse has a good name and you wont go far wrong by using it.

Always remember, there is no perfect product, it is down to personel taste. Is Zaino any better than P21S, only you can decide. Preperation and technique are (IMO) 90% of the battle for a great shine.

Yes the claybar is necessary for removing particles stuck in the paint, which gives it a gritty feeling.

What happens is rail dust, and many other things, fall onto the paint and become embedded into it. There are many reasons why this is good to remove, but the main reason many do it is because it leaves the paint feeling incredibly smooth, almost like glass.

I assume when you mentioned sonus and EO Quick Detailers that you were asking if they were good to be used with Klasse. Any quick detailer that does not contain carnuba is fine to use with Klasse products, such as Sonus, Meguairs Final Inspection, Mothers Showtime etc. I generally use Mothers Showtime because that is easily available, and does a good job. For QDing carnuba waxes I generally use EF's or Pinnacles QD.

Try doing a search for any other questions you may have. There is a ton of information stored here.
