Ok needed some pointers to get me in the right direction here. Just lost my job which i wasnt to thrilled about anyways but now that I have some free time was thinking about trying the mobile detailing gig. Maybe some pointers to give me a start in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Don't expect yourself to have large amounts of business right after you get started. It takes some time to build up your customer base and get regulars. You will need to learn to be patient. Many people will seem interested in your services but they may not all call. Just dont get discouraged.

Are you looking for products or what?

Yzer - that is what I am going through right now....i am putting out good work, but maybe not to the right people???

as for products, I highly recommend using patrick at www.exceldetail.com for supplies.....the erasure pads are amazing, the product line he carries has everything you would need to get started, and the customer service is great!

you could try givin the guys at Rightlook a call....very knowledgable and cool to talk to...they carry equipment and chemicals and what not too..

Chemicals right now are not a problem I have quite a bit. Have a lot of optimum polishes and about 6 bottles of different sealants and waxes.
