Hello all
My main forum is Swedespeed (MVI_S60R). I wanted to reference where I heard of Autopia. This dude on SS named "The Driver" not sure what his name is on here, was talking about how great Autopia was so I decided to give it a shot since I like to think I know how to detail my R.
Anyway, I'm from Stow, OH where its 10 degrees for 6 months then splits to crazy humid 100 degree weather for the summer. I own a 2006 Volvo S60R in Magic Blue (I like to call it Blurple because it has a purple pearlescence). I treat it like it's my baby; if something happened to her I would fall apart but I wouldn't call it a mental problem yet
. We also recently put up a massive 26x28 steel garage where I can detail her easily (you'll see it in the pictures).
I learned everything I know from Youtube, watching Ammo NYC, random people, etc. I detail it weekly; CG interior detailer all over the interior and their leather cleaner on the Gobi. In the winter I use the self car wash to get the details then go to a touchless wash to get underneath and dry it faster. In the summer I use CG 50/50 and their scrumptious smelling synthetic detailer. I also use 2 bucket method and a foam cannon with that CG blue soap, forgot the name. I have a small drill DA polisher from Meguairs which I kind of did a light polish with, but today the paint is scratched all over and some light marring here and there.
If you are interested in Swedespeed or to read further into my caRs story and see what I have modified on her, please check out my continual Build thread on SS HERE
I have lots of questions to ask and I will get to searching/asking them soon! I am also looking for someone to come down to give her a full paint correction in a few months because I trust noone around here with their generic polishes and crap; be prepared for her Swedish hips
