New Autopia looks great

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to stop in and say how nice the new Autopia looks. Almost feel like it was years ago. Great to see this. :)

Vega, I absolutely love it. It feels like the old Autopia prior to 3D. Pat I never left. I'm always lurking, I just don't have the time to post like normal. Troy there haven't been any discussions of this to date. However Americana is doing great. Thanks for your interest.

Seems to me like not as many people are posting...there used to be new threads all the time; now when I check in, there's only a handful of new content. Maybe when winter comes, more people will be one here again. And something is quirky with the new layout and some people's posts are full of odd characters and punctuation (almost to the point of not being about to read what they've written). Sorry...but I liked the old look much better. This new setup feels "old".
But that's just one opinion, as most others seem to like the new setup.

It's like a reunion! Barry I was in front of Presidential for the Manheim Halloween parade with my twin boys. I looked for you but didn't see you. But thanks to your lighting for lighting up the parade since all of the street light were out!

Anyway, it's nice to see some familiar faces so-to-speak.

Buffer Barry. He's a world renowned detailer from somewhere up north

I'm just busting Barry's chops. I have had the pleasure of traveling to his shop for a two day get together and sharing a drink or two at SEMA. He's a credit to the detailing industry and a genuine nice guy. ( Don't tell him I said so ). His Americana line is full of great products and seems to be growing every day.

You guys are great. I sure miss this place. I wish I had more time these days to do write ups and posts. Autopia.org will always have special place in my heart. It's guys like you all who helped me pave my career in detailing. I can honestly say if it wasn't for Autopia I wouldn't be where I'm at today. Thanks friends and Auto geek for making this place what it should be once again.

Thanks for checking in on this "merged" forum, Barry!!

Barry Theal is a detailing superstar in my opinion and a real inspiration of what dedication and hard work can do in business.
I have said this before, but it bears repeating: Barry's willingness to share his experience with us all has made obsessive-compulsive detailers, professional or enthusiast, better in their trade or craft.
He is a gifted detailer and his many early Autopian posts and pictures about his detailing restorations, or "saves" as we like to call them, are the bedrock of detailing legends that have to be seen to believe.

I also believe that he truly wants all of us detailing wanna-be's to be as good as him, and hence, his willingness to take the time to post his expertise and offer workshops to obtain that invaluable hands-on experience cannot be put into words what that means and valued by myself in particular. I have never met the man personally nor attended his workshops or visited his detailing business because of my geographical location, so this "opinion" is based on what I have read in this Autopian forum through the years. That said, I just wish he would post a little more often, but sometimes that is the price one pays for success. I am just glad he checks in now-and-then!
